The next time your liquid body wash runs out, add 8.5oz/250ml of hot (tap) water into the dispenser and pour your body wash powder refill from the tube into the dispenser and replace the pump. Then shake it, baby (vigorous body movement suggested)! Once you dance your booty off for 60 seconds, let it sit for a bit and then your creamy, deliciously smelling body wash is ready to use.
An average family of four throws away up to twenty-four plastic soap bottles every year. As the importance of handwashing has increased, so has the number of plastic bottles dumped into our landfills. With these body wash powder refills, you will never again have to buy liquid soap or soap refills in single-use plastic packaging. Every bottle of liquid soap contains at least 80% water, which means manufacturers are storing and shipping that water. Powder refills contain zero water, so they help reduce the carbon footprint associated with water shipment and storage.
Reduces waste, cruelty-free, zero-waste, made in the US, local, plastic-free, palm oil-free.
Sodium cocoyl isethionate, niacinamide, sodium gluconate, algin, glyceryl stearate, cetearyl alcohol, sodium stearoyl lactylate, fragrance, xanthan gum, kaolin clay. See below for detailed ingredient information.
The powder comes contained in a 100% recyclable and reusable aluminum tube!
Sodium cocoyl isethionate is a fine white powder derived from the fatty acids in coconut oil and is one of the few surfactants which is gentle and safe to be used on your skin. It has a conditioning effect on your skin and hair making it soft, supple. Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate is known to be a non-toxic, non-allergic and non-irritating ingredient to be used on your skin.
Niacinamide is a form of vitamin B3 and helps build cells in the skin while also protecting them from environmental stresses, such as sunlight, pollution, and toxins and also treats acne. Niacinamide may be helpful for severe acne, especially inflammatory forms like papules and pustules and you may see fewer lesions and improved skin texture.
Algin is a type of carbohydrate found in brown seaweeds. It is used as the thickening agent when your powder gets added to water. Algin is also used a food additive and is in a variety of health products and has medicinal properties.
Sodium gluconate is the foaming agent used in your powder hand soap. It is naturally produced from the fermentation of glucose and is a naturally-occurring sodium salt of gluconic acid.
Glyceryl stearate functions as an emollient, surfactant, and emulsifier in skin care products and is a white or cream-colored wax-like solid in its raw form. Glyceryl stearate slows down the transepidermal water loss from the skin. This helps to maintain the balance of moisture required for healthy skin and lubricates the surface of the skin to give it a soft and smooth appearance.
Cetearyl alcohol is a mixture of fatty alcohols, consisting predominantly of cetyl and stearyl alcohols and is classified as a fatty alcohol. Unlike denatured alcohol or ethanol, which can dry out your skin, cetearyl alcohol actually acts as an emollient to soften, hydrate, moisturize and smoothen skin and is safe to use.
Sodium stearoyl lactylate is a naturally derived ingredient used in skin and hair care products and is used as an emulsifier and mild thickening agent in cosmetics.
Xanthan gum is a polysaccharide, a type of sugar that is made from a bacteria called Xanthomonas campestris, through a process of fermentation and is often used in in natural and organic skincare and is thought to have some hydrating benefits for the skin.
Kaolin clay is a silicate mineral clay which has been used for centuries as a skin care product. Kaolin clay naturally cleanses, absorbs unneeded oils, exfoliates, soothes skin, and evens out skin tone.
