Simply tear the strips along the perforated line, to form a half a strip. For smaller loads, tear the strip into 1/4 strips (that's 200 small loads)! How to use/end of life
For a regular sized load of laundry, tear one strip along the perforated line to fit in the detergent tray on directly in the laundry machine for front loaders or place a strip on top of the laundry for top loaders. Start the machine as usual. Can be used on any cycle, hot or cold, and dissolves quickly!

Packaging
All the packaging and design are done in Washington state and all the packaging materials are sourced here in the states. We found boxes made from 100% recycled material and 100% reusable (or recyclable) after use. This brand is very proud to be early adaptors of Algae Ink! Most ink contains petroleum; not algae ink! Our retail packaging is 100% plastic-free!
PVA/Ingredients Information
PVA is an abbreviation that can represent different types of ingredients. Firstly, Polyvinyl Acetate is an adhesive often used in glue and is different than Polyvinyl Alcohol, which is often found in water-soluble films on many cleaning products and binding agents in newly created products like Concentrated Laundry Detergent Sheets and Strips. There is some confusion around the earth-friendliness of Polyvinyl Alcohol. The difference between other brands and Eco Clean Sheets is that they intentionally source their PVA that uses only Plant-based (Coconut-based) PVA.
An independent German study (Degruyter, March 2021) has shown PVA is dissolvable in water and is biodegradable in aerobic (commercial composting facilities) and nonaerobic (“backyard composting”) environments. This means that it breaks down in the wash and eventually biodegrades into a benign monomer that is ocean-life-friendly and decomposes into other nutrients over time; therefore, is not a source of microplastic pollution.
Symbiotic Products LLC and Eco Clean Sheets go further by using only pharmaceutical-grade PVA (not simply industrial grade). That ensures that it is an extremely safe macromolecular organic matter, non-toxic to the human body, and has good biocompatibility. That’s a lot of words that mean it is safe for humans.
